Give Us a Kick!

Darfur United, a program of iACT, presents the Fifth Annual One Strong Kick, an iACT event to benefit soccer programs for refugees living in eastern Chad and other refugee communities.

There are currently five Darfur United Soccer Academies serving approximately 5,000 children, and iACT plans to launch three more this year in eastern Chad, as well as expand to other countries. Next winter/spring, the Darfur United all-refugee Men’s Team will aim to host friendly games with other soccer teams from around the world.

One Strong Kick is truly a spectacular evening! Enjoy handcrafted tequila cocktails made with award-winning Suerte Tequila, specialty wine by artisan winemaker Brack Mountain Wine Company, and locally-brewed beer by Monkish Brewing; dine on Villegas tacos and desserts made by local bakery Bake Your Cakes; enter the soccer ball juggling contest; dance to live music by family duo David Veerman and Crystal Kakebeen-Duarte, South Bay hit Kira Lingman, and the night’s headliner band The Hitstorm all evening long; and learn about our incredible program for Darfuri refugee children and the goals to expand both throughout and beyond eastern Chad.

This is an adult function. Dress is California Cocktail.

All proceeds support the Darfur United Men’s Team, Darfur United Soccer Academy, and soccer programs for other refugee communities.

Individual tickets are $75 presale and $100 on the day of the event.
