iACT is beyond proud to share that the Refugees United Soccer Academy – Central African Republic, located in a refugee site in Cameroon, is growing!

This week, they registered another 46 boys and girls to reach a total of 978 in the Academy! 440 of those new little soccer players are girls, while the rest are young boys, all under the age of 13. These children are participating in their first ever comprehensive sports program. The Academy is led by two women and three men who develop the players’ soccer skills, inspire leadership and confidence, and lead them through daily mindfulness exercises. Most importantly, the Academy offers a safe space to learn, grow, laugh, and simply be children in an all too often stressful and traumatized environment.

A special thanks to LA Galaxy, midfielder Baggion Husidic, and Account Executive Bart Badgett for providing all our Refugees United Soccer Academy coaches with jerseys!
